In a celebration of American poetry and song, Loudoun Lyric Opera presents Voices of America: a recital program by mezzo-soprano Tanya Ruth Langlois and pianist Dr. Michael Langlois. Comprising entirely 20th century works, this concert features the poetry of great American writers including Langston Hughes, Mary Oliver, and Emily Dickinson set to music by Jake Heggie, Jean Berger, Margaret Bonds, Lori Laitman, and Rebecca Clarke. Join us for a journey through jazz, musical theater, opera, and art song as told from perspectives representing the diversity of this country. This concert is free to attend and open to the public, with all tax-deductible donations to benefit Loudoun Lyric Opera.
