W. Briggs Burton is an Alternative Investment Specialist and Registered Client Service Associate with The Keena Team at Morgan Stanley in McLean, Virginia. Before coming to Morgan Stanley, he worked at Merrill Lynch in Washington, DC.
Prior to his career in wealth management, Briggs worked for multiple nonprofits in development, operational, and communications roles. A native of Tidewater Virginia, Briggs graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in history from Hampden-Sydney College, where he was a Patrick Henry Honors Scholar, a William E. Hardy '80 Scholar, and twice served as a Student Fellow at the Wilson Center for Leadership in the Public Interest.
In addition to his role as Director of Development at LLO, Briggs is the President of the DC Phi Beta Kappa Association, one of the largest Phi Beta Kappa alumni associations in the country, and a Development & Fundraising Advisor for Nalani Horse Rescue in Broad Run, Virginia.
Briggs regularly volunteers with the Virginia cohort of the Distributive Economics Club of America (DECA), the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Foundation, and A Better Chance. He is also an active member of the Philosophical Society of Washington and the Jamestowne Society.
When he isn't at work or volunteering, Briggs enjoys tennis, rare book collecting, and relaxing on his family horse farm.
